SHREK FOREVER AFTER

Date: 3rd Oct 10

Location: The Riverside (Whitworth Civic Hall), Market Street, Whitworth, OL12 8DP

Time: 14.00

Shrek Forever AfterThe Whitworth Community Cinema experience returns on Sunday 3 October 2010 with a showing of SHREK FOREVER AFTER (U) at the Riverside (Whitworth Civic Hall).

The initiative is being led by Whitworth Town Council, in association with the Riverside and Community Cinemas. Tickets are on sale now from the Riverside.

Community Cinemas uses a huge 18ft x 10ft (5.5m x 3m) screen, the latest 35mm projector and full Dolby surround sound to screen the films. Drinks and a tuck shop will be available.

In addition to the film, Animal Quackers Petting Farm from Bacup will be bringing along their chipmunks and other animals for the young visitors to pet and enjoy during the interval - an opportunity to meet the stars of the film in the flesh... er...fur!

Whitworth Mayor and Councillor David Chorlton, who has helped to organise the event, says: "We've presented a number of cinema events over the last year which have been very well received. Given the pedigree of the first 3 films in this series, I'm sure Shrek 4 will be really good, fun film and I'm delighted that we've managed to secure it. If you're looking for a bit of family fun you can't get much better than this - it's cheaper than a trip to the local Cineplex and its right on your doorstep."

Shrek Forever After (U) will be showing at the Riverside (Civic Hall), Whitworth on Sunday 3 October at 2pm (doors open 1.30pm). Tickets cost £4 adults, £3 children and £15 Family Ticket (2 adults / 3 children), and are on sale now from the Riverside on 01706 854130.
